The Backstory
Shelley began working with speakers and business book authors 10 years ago as the personal assistant to management guru Tom Peters. In 2004 she opened her own consultancy, Leap7, in order to help a larger number of business authors with special projects. Shelley worked with the team at Think Remarkable to launch Seth Godin’s anthology on how to be remarkable, The Big Moo. She used her experience from coordinating Peters’ Re-imagine! book tour to support Jackie Huba and Ben McConnell during their 40 Talks in 40 Days book tour for Citizen Marketers.
A few years later, the demand for brand strategy consulting overtook the project management side of the business. In addition to helping her clients move to the next level in their industry, Shelley has continued to work with Tom Peters and the team at tompeters.com. She ran the Tom Peters Wire Service project from 2005-2009, edits the Cool Friends interviews, and is working on the launch of Tom’s newest book, The Little BIG Things (HarperStudio, March 2010).
Shelley lives in Maine with her husband and two precocious daughters.
